Biography

Federico Ortiz-Moreno received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Monterrey, with emphasis in the Social Area He is Journalist and Columnist of some newspapers in Monterrey, Mexico, as well as a contributor of various magazines and newsletters, both national and international.He has received two Literature and Arts Diploma Awards. He has been a contributor to BBC London.He has been author of several books of short stories and poems, translated into four languages.He has been a founding member and first President of the Alzheimer's Association of Monterrey.He has been former President of the Mexican Federation of Alzheimer's disease.In 2010, Member of the Governance Committee of the Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) based in London.He has participated as a speaker in more than 20 countries, and has contributed to the formation of several support groups and associations, both national and international level.Director and coordinator of the newsletter called “Alzheimer para todos”.He has been author of more than 250 articles of topics cultural and more than 100 about Alzheimer's with translations into various languages. He has received the National Award for volunteer Mexican 2007 by SEDESOL (Minister of Social Development in Mexico)Special Award “45 stories of success” by the Universidad de Monterrey, in 2014.Member of National Geographic Society He has been benefactor members of the Real Academia Española.
